In a tragic turn of events, the Police have confirmed the death of one of their officers during a robbery that shook the Ahodwo-Nhyiaeso area in Kumasi early Thursday, June 27.
According to official sources, the robbery occurred around 1am, leading to the officer’s unfortunate loss. In response to this heinous act, law enforcement quickly sprang into action and apprehended one suspect believed to be involved in the incident.
A statement from the Police indicates that an ongoing intelligence operation is in progress to track down and arrest the remaining suspects.
The Ghana Police Service has arrested one person for a robbery which occurred at about 1am on 27th June 2024, at Ahodwo-Nhyiaeso, in the Ashanti Region, resulting in the death of a Police officer. An intelligence operation is underway to get the remaining suspects arrested to face justice,” the statement read.
The community mourns the loss of a brave officer, and the Police are determined to bring those responsible to justice.
