Nigerian actor and self-proclaimed pastor, Yul Edochie, has added his voice to the ongoing public discourse surrounding the rift between the iconic musical duo, P-Square, comprising brothers Paul and Peter Okoye.
Amidst the widespread calls for reconciliation, Yul offered a different take, suggesting that sometimes true peace may be found not in togetherness, but in staying apart.
Taking to Instagram, Yul shared his thoughts on the matter, emphasizing the importance of personal well-being over societal expectations. He pointed out that many people fail to grasp the complexities of life and relationships, and that insisting on closeness could be detrimental to one’s mental and emotional health.

“I see people say Rudeboy go & make peace with your brother, Mr P go & make peace with your brother, I just laugh. Many people still don’t understand what life is about. Sometimes real peace comes from staying apart,” Yul wrote.
He further explained that in some situations, even family members might need to be kept at arm’s length to preserve peace. For Yul, this isn’t about fostering animosity but about recognizing that some relationships thrive better from a distance. He warned that the stress of trying to maintain close ties, especially when they are strained, could have severe consequences, particularly for men.
“That’s why we have many widows everywhere. So you have to be intentional about your life. And life na per head. Block anybody that needs to be blocked so you can have peace. Don’t look back,” Yul advised.
He concluded by acknowledging the public’s desire to see P-Square reunited but urged fans to support the brothers’ decision if they choose to remain apart. “It’s good to see Psquare together. But if they have to stay apart to be happy and alive for us, let them stay apart. We love them regardless,” he added.
Yul Edochie’s stance has sparked further debate among fans and followers, with many appreciating his candid take on a situation that resonates with many family dynamics. As P-Square continues to navigate their journey, Yul’s words serve as a reminder that peace, whether found in togetherness or apart, is ultimately a personal choice.
