Tragic Accident on Bolgatanga-Bawku Highway: Military Officer Killed, Five Injured in Binduri District
A tragic accident involving a military vehicle from the 11 Mechanised Battalion in Bawku has left one officer dead and five others critically injured. The fatal crash occurred near Binduri in Ghana’s Upper East Region.
The military vehicle, with registration number 15 GA 04, was traveling from Bawku to Bazua when it reportedly veered off the road and flipped multiple times, resulting in the unfortunate death of one officer.
Five other military personnel sustained severe injuries and were promptly transported to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital and the Tamale Teaching Hospital for urgent medical care.
The incident highlights concerns about road safety for military convoys in the region, raising awareness on the need for enhanced measures to protect military personnel during transit.
