The Abandoned Zuarungu Road Bridge Now Poses a Dusty Death Trap

The Zuruangu Bridge area on the Bolga-Bawku road has become a symbol of neglect, with deteriorating conditions turning it into a hazardous and dusty death trap. The dust problem is merely a symptom of a deeper issue: unfinished roadwork and poor maintenance have left both the community and road users struggling with visibility and safety concerns.
Frustration is mounting among residents as they contend with the dangerous state of the road. The abandoned project has left the road in shambles, with loose dirt creating thick clouds of dust whenever vehicles pass. Road users are not only worried about their health but also about the growing risk of accidents on this busy stretch.
The dust from the unpaved road is contributing to respiratory problems, including chronic bronchitis and other lung disorders. Additionally, the poor visibility and unstable terrain pose a daily risk of accidents.
This is a plea for immediate intervention by the Department of Feeder Roads and other relevant authorities. The abandoned road project must be revisited, and urgent repairs are needed to make the Zuruangu Bridge area safe again. Without swift action, the community is at a high risk to face severe health issues and potential accidents.
