Celebrated Kumawood actor and entrepreneur, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, has announced his ambition to contest the Afigya Kwabre North parliamentary seat as an independent candidate in the 2028 general elections.
Lilwin made this revelation during the launch of his new barbering salon in Kumasi. He stated that his passion for addressing the challenges faced by his constituents, particularly the youth, motivated his decision to enter the political arena.
The actor highlighted the successes of other entertainment personalities like John Dumelo and Baba Sadiq as inspirations for his political journey. “Politics needs people who understand the grassroots, and I am ready to be that leader for Afigya Kwabre North,” he said.
